Heller 50 cm pedestal fan
The recall concerns the Heller brand 50 cm Pedestal Fan with the model designation HPF50 that was on sale between January 2005 and March 2008 nationally through chain stores including Bunnings, The Goodguys, Harvey Norman, Retravision, Betta Electrical, Mitre10 and Kmart.
The pedestal fans may have an internal mechanical defect which could result in the cable between the control panel and motor housing being damaged and posing a risk of fire.
Eaton Powerware 3105 and 5110 UPS Systems
The recall covers Eaton Powerware Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), models 31050350A, 31050500A, 31050700A, 51100350A, 51100500A, 51100700A, 51101000A, 51101500A. For units sold in 2007 with serial numbers between:
- JA231A0000 to JA416A9999 inclusive
- JZ231A0000 to JZ416A9999 inclusive.
Units with the first two letters “JX” or “JY” are excluded from this recall.
A crack in the socket backing plate may occur in the batch of units in the aforementioned serial number ranges. This crack can cause poor retention and/or intermittent or partial contact with the pins of plugs inserted in the UPS outlet sockets and loss of earthing continuity to Class 1 equipment plugged into the UPS.
Modern Living upright fan heater
The recall covers the “Modern Living” upright fan heater rated at 1000/2000 Watts with the model designation MLMFH200. These fan heaters were sold through Target stores throughout Australia from April 2006 to August 2006.
Safety issue: Risk of Fire
There is a risk of FIRE should the unit be tipped over and airflow is restricted.
LG Microwave Oven
This recall covers LG Microwave Ovens with the model numbers MS2346VR and MS2347GR and serial numbers starting with the numbers 708 to 802, sold from September 2007 to now.
There is a possibility of an internal cover becoming detached and making a connection between live parts and the external enclosure, which may result in an electric shock to the user. This risk is higher in locations with poor electrical earthing.
Mistral toaster Oven
Model no’s. MTO100, MTO200CH and MTO300CH. The following products manufactured during 2001 and 2002 are affected by the recall:
- MTO100 – batch code 0135 and 0228
- MTO200CH – batch code 0135 and 0228
- MTO300CH – batch code 0135, 0153, 0217 and 0231
There is a potential safety hazard associated with selected Mistral toaster ovens as a result of an unsuitable supply cord being fitted. Sections of the cord may become damaged if it comes into contact with the hot metal rear surface of the unit. This may result in inadvertently exposing the user to live conductors.
TELSTRA Brand Cordless Telephones
The recall covers the AC power adaptors marked with a TE Number of either TE0606 or TE0706 from phones of any of the following series sold on or from 01 July 2006.
- Telstra easytouch series,
- Telstra F5100 SMS,
- Telstra F5150 SMS,
- Telstra Edge series.
Some products may have a plastic moulding defect in the casing of their AC power adaptor. This could cause the casing of the AC power adaptor to separate and potentially expose the internal circuitry.
