Inspection of equipment at the work place is a requirement by law to ensure a safe work place environment.

The foundation on which Be Smart Electrical has been created is that of safety! Although not required by law, we at Be Smart Electrical provide the same services to our house hold customers as that of our workplace clients.

Electrical Appliance Preventative Maintenance

One of the biggest requests Be Smart Electrical receives is to ensure that when a client correctly operates an appliance that they do not receive an electric shock.

Inspecting and testing home appliances for faults and defects can reduce the danger of a fire or shock. Our safety tests include appliances with power cords such as:

• Toasters
• Irons
• Heaters
• Drills

Electrical Appliance Repair

Sometimes your appliances may become faulty due to things such as cut leads or melted plugs. Your Be Smart Electrician can examine your appliance and attempt to repair it or discuss further options.

Safety Switch Test

The last line of defense against the risk of electrocution is the home safety switch. The Electrical Safety Office has made it mandatory for all new houses built to have them installed. The safety switch correct operation is important to cut the electrical power to your home should a short circuit occur.

Be Smart Electrical will simulate a fault at ALL power points in your house to ensure correct operation of the associated safety switch. Some testers may just test the safety switch at its location - Be Safe Electrical believes that for peace of mind, all power points must be tested.

Microwave Leakage Test

The normal operation of most microwaves uses radiation to super heat and therefore cooks your food. Over time a microwave may start to leak radiation which Be Smart Electrical can test for. Readings can be provided and the decision to repair or replace will be left up to the customer.
